Obituary

Stephen Scott Lowry, 75, died February 5, 2022 in Evanston, Wyoming.

He was born on April 22, 1946 in Layton, Utah to Smoot Allen and Erma (Jeweks) Lowry.

He graduated from Davis High School. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and served a mission in Texas. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communication from Mesa State University. He enjoyed outdoor activities, including shooting, exploring, and sports. He was always concerned for others and volunteered at the food bank.

He married Alene Barnes in the Salt Lake Temple. They later divorced.

He is survived by his children: Stan (Shawnee) Lowry; Wade Lowry; Lana (Jeremy) Dibble; Tamany (Jared) Brown; Elin (Shawn) Scott; and Boon (Hailey) Lowry. He will also be missed by his 25 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

He is preceded by his parents, Smoot and Erma Lowry; and his five brothers, Paul, Bert, Rodger, John, and Orson.

A memorial service in his honor will be held on Friday, February 11, 2022 in the L.D.S. Ward Chapel on Sage Street at 2:00 p.m.
