Stanley Gregory Porter
Obituary
Stanley Gregory Porter, age 61 passed away Sunday January 30, 2022 at home
surrounded by his loving family.
He was born December 11, 1960, in Preston, Idaho the son of Tharol George
Porter and Mae (Gregory) Porter.
Stanley had a bachelor's degree in economics. He married Carol Ann Erickson in
Idaho Falls, Idaho on August 14, 1982. He enjoyed watching his favorite NFL team
the Detroit Lions, and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day
Saints.
Stanley is survived by his wife Carol Porter of Evanston, Wy and his children Travis
Porter (Rachel); Brittney Richards(Bruce); Otto Porter; Katie Ivie (James). His
brother Rick Porter (Brenda); and sister Roxann Owen (Carl) and his 12
grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Tharol and Mae Porter; brother Dennis
Porter and sister Shauna Decker.
Funeral service will be Saturday February 5, 2022 at the Elm Street LDS church in
Evanston, Wy at 10:30 am. A viewing for Stanley will be held on Friday at Crandall
Funeral Home from 6 pm to 8pm and at the church one hour prior to the funeral.
Interment will be at the Preston Cemetery in Preston, Idaho at 3:00 pm on
Saturday.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of your choice in his honor would be
appreciated.
