Sheila Lewis

Sheila M. Lewis, 80, passed away on November 7, 2022 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on November 19, 1941 in Heber City, Utah to Harold S. “Jake” and Helen (Murdock) Anderson.

She married Alan V. Lewis on March 8, 1957 in Kamas, Utah.  Their marriage was later solemnized in Salt Lake L.D.S. temple.

Sheila was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and had many positions including Young Women’s Stake Camp Director for many years.  She was a member of Rotary Club and the Lady Lions.   She liked to crochet, go fishing, and enjoyed many cruises with her husband, Alan and her family. She spent many years working in Kamas State Bank and Citizen’s Bank.  She did the bookkeeping and managed Kamas Storage as well as bookkeeping for restaurant central in Park City, Utah.  She worked at Leavitt Lumber in Kamas.

She is survived by her husband Alan and three children: Tracy (Bill) Mitchell, Perry (Kaelyn) Lewis, and Becky Downard.  She will be missed by her 12 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her son, Edwin Vance Lewis; her parents, Jake and Helen Anderson; her brother, Koy Anderson; and her son-in-law, LeeLand Downard.

In accordance with her wishes, a graveside service will be held in the Marion Cemetery on Monday, November 14, 2022 at 12 noon.
