Shaun Turley

June 21, 1968 — May 21, 2022

Evanston

Shaun Delton Turley, age 53, passed away from complications of Diabetes on May 21, 2022, at Rocky Mountain Care-Evanston. Shaun is survived by his son, Dominick Turley age 9, of Evanston, WY; his sister, Darcie Bernard (Jason), of Kansas City, Missouri; nieces Adia Hazeslip and Emmerson Mendenhall, and nephew David DeGerald, all of Kansas City, Missouri, and his best friend, Daniel Stoudt, of Evanston, WY. He is preceded in death by his parents John Turley and Judy Turley, of Kansas City, Missouri; his infant brother, John Turley, and his grandparents, Delton and Jeri Windhorst, of Kansas City, Missouri.

Shaun was born on June 21, 1968, in Houston, Texas, to parents John and Judy Turley. He graduated from North Kansas City High School in 1986 and directly joined the Army. He was stationed in Germany and Huntsville, Alabama during his time with the military. He remained in Huntsville, AL for most of his adult life where he was married twice. He moved to Evanston, WY for new opportunities and remained there for the past 15 plus years. He was a jack of all trades and enjoyed billiards, competing in tournaments and playing for fun as well. He was an avid reader, took pleasure in gardening, and loved cars, especially muscle cars. His biggest love in this world though by far, was his son Dominick. He was the apple of his eye and what gave him purpose in this life.

His family and friends will always remember him as a giving, loving, funny, compassionate person who would do anything for anyone in need. He was the coolest brother a sister could ever ask for. He lived a life that was challenging at times and yet he persevered.

A celebration of life will be held at the Knights Inn Saturday, June 4, 2022, at 2pm with a reception occurring as well. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Shaun’s life. The family would like to thank Rocky Mountain Care and Daniel Stoudt for being there for Shaun, especially the past two years. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Trona Valley Credit Union- Evanston, to go towards a trust for Dominick Turley.
