Sandra Herron’s obituary

Sandra Lee Herron

Born:  August 16, 1951

Died:  November 18, 2021

Sandy was born in Seattle, Washington to Ray and Margaret Herron.  Her parents preceded her in death.  She moved around a lot when she was young as her dad was in the Air Force.  Eventually though, Sandy made her way to Evanston and this has been her home for many, many years.

Sandy touched many lives.  Her struggles made those around her love her and made them want to protect her even more.  Looking at Sandy you could tell she had a hard life but she also had a full life because of the people who loved her and because of the people she loved.

Some of Sandy’s favorites included the color pink, any and all holidays, watching movies, going out to eat, and going shopping.  She loved to drink pop and she loved to eat food.  Sandy was always up for doing just about any kind of activity, she loved to play bingo, and she loved doing arts and crafts.  She was a social butterfly.  Sandy was very eccentric, picking out her own outfits, mixing and matching stripes with polka dots.  She would wear matching jewelry as well.

Sandy was always very complimentary of others.  She would say things that would make others feel good about themselves.  When others were having a hard time, she would check on them and make sure they were ok, even despite her own struggles.  Sandy had a great sense of humor and she would crack herself up, which is a very good quality in a person!  She was very kind and would share her things to make the lives of others better.

Special thank you to Mountain Regional Services for not only being her home but for becoming her family.  Thank you to Kenna Hill for keeping “all things Sandy” in order.  Thank you to Adam Fuller and Cora Courage for helping Sandy become the lady she was, and thank you to all the wonderful staff who loved Sandy and gave her exceptional care.

Sandy will be laid to rest in the Evanston cemetery.  When she took her last breath, she was surrounded by people that loved her very much.  Sandy will be greatly missed and will never be forgotten.  May she forever rest in peace.
