Roy Keith Collins, 84, of Mountain View, WY, passed away on June 23, 2021. He was born on November 9, 1936 in Owl Creek, WY to Roy Everette and Olevia Nadine (Thronburg) Collins. Roy spent his early years as a cowboy on the Arapahoe, Hoodoo and other ranches around Wyoming and Montana. He ended his career as an underground miner at FMC, retiring in 1998 after 29 years.

Roy loved rockhounding and spent many wonderful hours in the deserts of Wyoming with his friends. He loved going to rock shows and did so at every opportunity. Roy’s biggest accomplishment was his family, and his love for them.

Roy is survived by his loving spouse, Joyce Collins of Mountain View, WY; his children Pete (Lacy) Collins of Lyman, WY, Candy (Butch) McFall of Bairoil, WY, Sean (Lauri) Morgan of Mountain View, WY, Chris (Desiree) Morgan of Pocatello, ID, and Bobby Morgan of Ft. Bridger, WY; 22 grandchildren; 13 Great-grandchildren; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his daughter Lori Collins Hernandez; his parents Roy E. Collins and Olevia Nadine (Thronburg) Collins; brothers Russell Collins and Leland Collins; sisters Reba Odde, Lillie Stockman, and Polly Collins Davis.

A Memorial service for Roy will be held Sunday, June 27, 2021 at 11:00 AM at the Mountain View Town Park.

The family has requested no flowers be sent. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to a charity of your choice in Roy's honor.
