Robert Anglen

May 17, 1962 — September 7, 2021

A tough Marine with the kindest giving heart and biggest smile unexpectedly joined his Heavenly Father September 7, 2021.

Robert Fred Anglen was a loving husband, father, grand-bob, son, brother, uncle, friend, co-worker and Jarhead.

Bob was born May 17, 1962 to Earl & Benita Anglen.  He grew up outside of Riverton, Wyoming on the family farm. He was actively involved in football, wrestling, track, FFA, 4-H, rebel rousing and mischief making. He graduated from Shoshoni High School in 1981 after which he joined the U.S. Marine Corps where he was actively stationed in Japan.

In 1986, he met a blond-haired Mormon girl (Verlynn Bird) at a bar where he eventually had to insert his foot into his mouth for smart comments, but still wound up sweeping her off her feet. They were married June 16, 1989. It was solemnized November 18, 1989 in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saint Ogden, Utah Temple. Together they made their home and raised their three children in Bridger Valley.

All the while he continued to serve his country through the United States Air Force Reserve retiring with a combined 22 years. He loved his country, his freedom and was a true Patriot.

His second home of 32 years was Naughton Power Plant where he had a second set of brother and sons, whom he taught many things.

Bob was an avid fisherman, hunter, hot rod-er, jokester and a mean card player. He was always down for anything, except for heights, and always willing to help anyone.

Bob is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Verlynn Bird Anglen; four children, Ashley Anglen, Wynston Anglen, Chelsea Anglen, Candace (Rich) Deberardinis, two grandsons, his father Earl (Vicki) Anglen, his sister Kim (Cory) Clemetson, two step brothers (Danny, Dennis), amongst many nieces and nephews,  brother and sister-in-laws, co-workers and Jarheads.

He was preceded in death by his Mother Benita Anglen, grandparents, numerous aunts and uncles and brothers in arms.
