Ralph Erickson

Our father, Ralph D. Erickson, left this world on September 26, 2022, at the age of 94.  He passed peacefully in Evanston, Wyoming, and will be sadly missed and always hold a place in our hearts.

Dad was born in Deseret, Utah, to Willard Eldon Erickson and Beatrice Dewsnup. The oldest of three sons, Ralph helped out on his family’s small farm. He was proud to be a Korean War Vet and for the missionary work he did there.

He married Dawnetta Ashby on March 16, 1953, in the Manti Temple. They raised 6 children. Ralph worked several different jobs in the education field, as well as running a small farm. He enjoyed woodworking, camping, and serving in the LDS church.

Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, and wife. He is survived by Maylon Erickson (brother); and children Fred (Sue) Erickson, Mark Erickson, Reed (Nola) Erickson, Glen (Michelle) Erickson, Sherry (Mike) Schofield, and Lisa (Gregg) Heaton; 20 grandchildren, and 27 great-grandchildren.

A graveside service is planned for Friday, September 30, 2:00 pm, at the Lyman Cemetery.
