Mariam Williams Jackson finished her journey in this life and returned to her Heavenly Father on Monday, June 21, 2021 surrounded by her family.
Mariam was born September 25, 1938 in Cedar City, Iron County, Utah to Willard R Williams and Lillie Prisbrey. She was proud to call Kanarraville home no matter where she lived.
She married James Howard Jackson in the Salt Lake Temple, September 7, 1956 and moved with her husband to Heilbronn Germany where he was stationed in the Armed Services.
She was preceded in death by both of her parents, Her son in-law Richard Byron Zerkle. 2 granddaughters Ann Jackson & Jessica Zerkle. 2 grandsons Richard Mario Zerkle & Helaman Asay. 2 great grandsons Zachary Watt and Gabriel Zerkle.
She is survived by her 6 children Lily Ann Zerkle (Richard Byron Zerkle deceased) of Cedar City, Utah, James Willard Jackson of Elko, Nevada, Janae Daley (Aaron J. Daley) of West Jordan, Utah, Joanna Kay Covington (Alden L. Covington) of Mona, Utah, Jennifer Asay (David L. Asay) of Cedar City, Utah, Jonathan Howard Jackson (Zobeyda Echavarria Chagal), a stepson Joshua Blaine Jackson (Christina Jean Pearce). 2 brothers & a sister, Russell P Williams (Erika Williams) J Donald Williams (Peggy Williams) & Nancy Riddle (James Riddle).
Her other surviving descendants include 34 Grandchildren, 49 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great Great Grandchildren.
In her younger years she loved to dance, play volleyball and quilt. She was always an avid reader. She served many callings within the LDS church, including a mission to the genealogy archives, and she loved to work with the cub scouts.
Memorial Services are under the direction of Rick Fryer at Crandall Funeral Homes
Wednesday June 30th - Viewing 6-8pm at the Jefferson Ward, 67 W. Clay Park Dr. - Murray UT
Thursday - July 1st - viewing 9:30-11 Funeral to follow at 11 am at the same chapel as above.
Friday July 2nd viewing 9-11 am @ the Kanarraville Town Hall (old Chapel) 40 S Main St, Kanarraville, UT.
