Kathryn Reese

February 13, 1937 — April 18, 2020

Evanston

Kathryn Reese, 83, of Evanston WY died peacefully surrounded by her family at Evanston Regional's Hospice Room on April 18th 2020. Kathryn was born February 13th 1937 in Lawrence Kansas. She was predeceased by her parents Harry and Irene Ehlers of Evanston WY.

Kathryn graduated from Evanston High School in 1955 and attended Central Business School in Denver CO, graduating in 1957.  She then moved to California for a new adventure. She married James G Reese in 1960 and they later divorced.  She worked in banks in CA, UT and WY and the Office of Clerk of District Court in Evanston.  The last 18 years of her working life she was the Judicial District 3A, State of Wyoming Administrative Assistant to District Judges John Troughton and Dennis Sanderson along with her dear friend Pat Goedken, District Court Transcriptionist.

She was a lifelong reader and in her younger years she enjoyed bowling and playing cards and board games. She thoroughly enjoyed her retirement, finally having time to indulge in her favorite passions, including watching cooking shows and trying new recipes, playing on her computer, keeping up with current events, redecorating her home and planting flowers and watching them grow and flourish. She treasured time with her friends, spoiled and adored her cats and more than anything, loved and delighted in spending time with her family. We will remember with joy her quick wit, speaking in hilarious accents, her sensibility, sacrifice and most of all her abiding love and devotion to her family. She will be loved and missed everyday by her twin children Dave Reese and his wife Ruline and Lisa Corbett and her husband Don, her 8 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

A graveside celebration of life will be held at a later date at the Evanston Cemetery. Thanks and gratitude to Dr. Michael Adams, who twice saved her life, Evanston Ambulance-first Responder's, EPD, IMC's brilliant Heart and Orthopaedic Surgeons, Rocky Mtn Care Rehabilitation, Meals on Wheels, Uinta Home Health, Uinta Sr. Center Grant Program, ERH Nurses, ERH Emergency Room and Cowboy Cares Hospice.
