Joyce Marie (Peart) Carpenter, 88, of Evanston, Wyoming passed away on November 29, 2021 in Morgan, Utah.

Joyce was born on March 21, 1933 to Spencer McPhail and Francis (Hutchinson) Peart in Evanston, Wyoming. Growing up, she enjoyed going to dances, where she met the love of her life, Wilson Duane Carpenter. They were married on November 18, 1955 in the Salt Lake Temple. Together they managed a successful ranch and were blessed with two children, Cindy and Barbara. Joyce was a devout member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, holding many callings. She also enjoyed volunteering at the hospital gift shop.

She cherished her family greatly and was blessed with five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, who lovingly called her “GG”. Joyce loved spending time with her family and road tripping across the country with her sweetheart in one of their restored cars.
She also enjoyed birdwatching, cross stitch, doing puzzles and playing games with her grandchildren, and reading. Her grandchildren will tell you she made the best cookies for the family reunion, and try as they might, her world famous mac and cheese will never taste quite as good as when she made it.

Joyce is preceded in death by her parents, Spencer and Francis Peart; her husband Duane; daughter Barbara; sister, Helen Smith; and brother, Richard Peart.

She is survived by her daughter Cindy (Jim) Jackson; five grandchildren, Rikki (Matt) Colton, Leslie (Matt) Howe, Melanie Millward, Rory (Cami) Jackson and Caitlyn (Michael) Frakes;
and seven great-grandchildren, Parker and Marcus Millward; Tucker, Toby and Carly Howe; and Carson and Jace Jackson. Her bright spirit will be greatly missed.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Best Home Health, especially Tanya, for their loving care and friendship to Joyce and her husband Duane. They are also incredibly
grateful for the staff at Family Tree in Morgan for their care during Joyce's final days.

Funeral Services will take place on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at 11:00 AM with a viewing from 9:30-10:45 AM at the Evanston Sage Street LDS Chapel. Interment will follow in Evanston City Cemetery.
