George "Geo" Vogt

George “Geo” Charles Vogt passed away on May 3, 2023 in the comfort of his home,

surrounded by his family and beloved dog, Sammy. He was 71.

George was born on November 1, 1951 to Albert George Vogt and Vitalene Helen Vogt

in Lincoln, Nebraska. George was the third child of five. After George graduated from

Cheyenne Central High school in Cheyenne Wyoming, he lived in Washington State. He

later moved to Utah and Wyoming where he pursued a career working in the Oil and

Gas industry.

George was blessed with a large and loving family. He met and fell in love with his wife,

Diane in 1983. George and Diane were married on December 15, 1984, blending their

two families and becoming a family of six. Two years later their family was made

complete with the birth of their daughter, Shalene. George and Diane were married 38

years. He loved his family, worked hard and was a great provider.

Throughout his life, George enjoyed spending time with his family and extended family

going camping, fishing and hunting. He had a special passion for cooking. George was

a remarkable cook and took delight in preparing meals for his family. He often spent his

spare time skimming old cookbooks or watching his favorite cooking shows for

inspiration.

George is survived by his wife, Diane Vogt of Evanston WY; children: Ceryse (Derek)

Peace of Evanston, WY, Sheila (Moses) Pedroza of Evanston, WY, Aaron (Krystyna)

Vogt of Aztec, New Mexico, Shalene Vogt of Evanston, WY, Darlett Holm of

Olympia, Washington; his grandchildren, Nolan, Jordan, Bianca, Rachael, Dion, Marcus, Liam, Trinity, and Ebben; siblings: Janice Fay of Texas, Ceryse Livermore of Hawaii, Kenney Vogt of Colorado, Malani Bulgin of Idaho, along with many in-laws, nieces and nephews.

George was preceded in death by his parents, Albert George Vogt and Vitalene Helen

Vogt, father-in-law, Nelson Herrera, mother-in-law, LaRae Herrera, brother in laws:

Kenny Montague, Gary Fay, Mike Fay and sister in laws: Rebecca Fay and Cindy King.

Celebration of Life will be held at a later date
