Eric Strickholm

Eric Stephen Strickholm passed away peacefully on Monday February 28, 2022, surrounded by his family at Rocky Mountain Care Center in Evanston, Wyoming. He was born on December 3, 1949, to Alma Ruth (Madsen) and Victor Strickholm in Brooklyn, New York.

Eric worked for Southern Pacific Railroad and later for Amtrack. He married Debra West on December 23, 1973. Three children were born from this union, all of whom survive. Eric and Debra later divorced, and Eric never remarried. He spent his time riding the rails, playing his guitar and banjo, and perfecting his hobby of origami. He loved folk music, good food and collecting weird gadgets.

Eric was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Bruce and Paul Strickholm. He is survived by his children, Kirstin (Doug) Dennis, Karin Kearns and Aaron Strickholm, as well as his grandchildren, Kayla, Tiffani, Tessa and Traci. Eric had three great-grandchildren.

Cremation has taken place and there will be no public services per his request. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
