Doris Louder

Heaven called home one of its’ sweetest earth angels when Doris LaRae Stevens Brusnahan Louder, passed through the veil on August 20, 2021, ending her 91 sojourn on earth. Doris was surrounded by her loving family when she passed.

She was born on December 6, 1929 in Park City to Lawrence T. and Thelma Lucille (Peterson) Stevens.

She married Clarence R. (Mike) Brusnahan on September 6, 1947.  He preceded her in death on January 4, 1969.   She later married Gerald Lee (Jerry) Louder in Las Vegas, Nevada on August 9, 1969 and together the merged a wonderful family for 52 years.   Jerry died on July 4, 2021 in Oakley.

Doris was an active member of the L.D.S. Church and held many positions.  She was a hairdresser in Oakley for many years and had many, many friends.  She enjoyed sewing, cooking, working in her flower garden, and crocheting.

She is survived by her children, JoAnn (Ralph) Hallam; Patsy LaRae Lewis; Jerri Sue (Mick) Clegg; Tracie (Jeff) Graham; Tamra Louder; Son-in-law, Mike Day; David (Joan) Louder; Tony (Judy) Louder; Todd Louder; her sister, Betty Lou Gines; her brothers: Lloyd (Norma) Stevens, Garry (Eilene) Stevens, and Craig Stevens; 51 grandchildren, 64 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husbands, Mike and Jerry; daughters, Kayla and Dixie; son-in-law, Lynn Prescott; sister-in-law, Terry Stevens; brother-in-law, Doug Gines; and great-granddaughter, Leah Irene Lang.

Funeral service will be on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in the Kamas L.D.S. Stake Center.  Viewing will be on Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m.

Interment will be in the Stevens Cemetery in Oakley, Utah.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Greg Iverson for his loving care and concern, as well as Canyon Home Care & Hospice staff.  Extra thanks to Brittany Stapleton for going above and beyond her job description to provide us all with TLC.  We also wish to thank our extended family who stepped up to help us immensely.
