Christine Bowman

On August 31, 2022, Christine Peterson Bowman returned peacefully to the welcoming arms of her Heavenly Father.

Christine was born October 4, 1954, in Dragerton Utah, to Dallas and Joyce (Jenson) Peterson.  Christine is the oldest of 4.  Christine lived in Dragerton Utah, Grants New Mexico and Heber City, Utah. She was known as a member of the Center Creek Wild Gang.

She married the love of her life, Roland “Jay” Bowman, September 30, 1971, in Heber City Utah. On, July 12, 1996 they were sealed for all Time and Eternity in the Ogden Utah Temple.  Together they lived in Heber City, Roosevelt Utah, settling in Lyman, Wyoming. Together they were blessed with 5 children.

Christine is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Where she served in many different callings, including serving as a Service Missionary for Vernon Utah Livestock.    She enjoyed sewing, quilting, camping, and being with her family.  The high light of her days was chasing her grandkids and great grandkids all over the states Wyoming and Utah.

Christine is survived by her husband Roland Jay of Lyman Wyoming, a sister Ann (Mike) Mair of Heber City Utah and a brother Lance Peterson of Idaho.  Her daughters Heather O’Brien of Wells Nevada, Teresa (Keith) Huntington of Mt. View Wyoming, Jalynn (Scott) Livingston of Vernon Utah, Lori (Joe) Madsen of Lyman Wyoming, and a daughter-in-law Angel Bowman of Las Vegas, Nevada.  17 Grandchildren, 16 Great Grand Children with 2 more on the way.

She is preceded in death by her parents Dallas and Joyce Peterson, brother Shane Peterson, and son Travis Bowman.

Funeral Service will be on Wednesday September 7, 2022, at 11:00am at the Urie Stake Center.  Viewing will be at the Stake Center Tuesday evening 6:00 – 8:00pm and on Wednesday morning from 9:30 to 10:45 am.

Interment will follow at the Lyman Cemetery under the direction of Crandall Funeral Home.
