Blain Williams

January 21, 1953 — September 24, 2021

Mountain View, WY

Blain was born on January 21, 1953 to Kenneth and Eris Williams. He passed away on September 24, 2021 at the Evanston Regional Hospital.  Blain married the love of his life, Marie Redden, on January 11, 1986 at the Salt Lake City Temple.  They had two sons of their own and one son from Blain’s previous marriage.  Blain was a fun loving person who loved to joke around.  He loved to share the knowledge and wisdom that he had.  Blain was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints.  He grew up in Kamas, UT and after serving a mission in New York in the East State Mission, he started what became a thirty-five year career at FMC and moved to the Bridger Valley area to start his family.

Blain and Marie were set up on their first date in June of 1985.  Since then, it has been tradition to go to the family cabin every year to make new memories and celebrate old ones.  Blain loved to get his blood pumping whether it be from jumping out of an airplane or riding his KTM 500 four-wheeler across the dunes, he was always looking for the next expensive thrill to make Marie worry.  One of Blain’s favorite things to do was go watch the Air Force airshow with his sons and grandsons.  He always dreamed of being an F-16 pilot and flying as fast as the jet would take him.  He loved to build and fly remote controlled airplanes just to satisfy his need to fly.  Whenever you saw Blain, he always had a smile on his face and his BYU attire on.  Unless they were losing, then it was just BYU attire.

Blain is preceded in death by his parents Kenneth and Eris and two older brothers David and Glen.  He is survived by his loving wife Marie, sons Brian (Jackie) of Lyman, WY; J.R. of Green River, WY; Benjamin (Chelsea) of Evanston, WY; Grandsons Tony and Carter; brothers Richard (Dayonna) of Idaho;  Glade of Murray, UT and sister Merlene (Kelly) Nelsen of Ogden, UT.

Services for Blain will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Mountain View, WY on October 2, 2021.  The viewing will start at 11:00am and funeral services at 12:00pm.  Gravesite services and dedication will immediately follow at the Fort Bridger cemetery.
