Stephanie Morrow
May 20, 1959 – Jan. 1, 2020
Stephanie Morrow — treasured wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend — passed away on Jan. 1 in Evanston. She was born on May 20, 1959, to Robert E. and Mildred Irene Matthews Day.
She married Daniel Morrow on Aug. 5, 1977. Their marriage was later sealed for time and all eternity on May 9, 1996, in the Salt Lake City Temple.
She was blessed with six wonderful children, who she both blessed and harassed all their lives.
She was a life-long member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she served in many capacities and blessed countless lives. Her favorite calling was as Relief Society president.
Stephanie had countless friends in all walks of life, whose lives she touched for a lifetime. She will never be forgotten. She was always the life of the party and had the most infectious laugh. Everyone who heard it knew right away it was Steph.
She was like a magnet to people. She could talk to anyone and everyone and made them feel like the most important person on Earth. To say she will be missed is an understatement. She set such a great example for all of us to follow and left the world a better place.
She is survived by her husband, Dan; her children, Dan Jr. (Shawna) Morrow, Katrina (Russell) Skaggs, Benjamin (Tif’Anne) Morrow, Sharalee (Jose) Saavedra, Brenden (Kelsi) Morrow and Sonya Rust; 19 grandchildren who she loved dearly and spoiled continuously; and three great-grandchildren with a fourth on the way.
She is also survived by her dear mother, Mildred; brother, Mark (Kris) Day and their wonderful family; sister, Cherie (Todd) Sheffield and their great family; mother-in-law, Iris Morrow; and a huge extended family almost too numerous to count.
She was preceded in death by her beloved father, Robert (Bob) Day; and father-in-law, William (Bill) Morrow.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 7, at the Fourth Ward Chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 201 Sage St. in Evanston. A viewing will be held prior to the service from 10-11 a.m., as well as from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 6, in the Fourth Ward Primary Room.
