Sandy Dennis

Sandy (James) Olen Dennis, 70, of Evanston, WY passed away on July 30, 2021. He was born on February 22, 1951 in Midland, Texas to Earl and Etta Mae Dennis. He was the oldest of their three children.  In 1971, Sandy married Linda A. Wynn they had 2 children together and later divorced. He married Susan Barret in 1994, she later passed away. At the time of his passing, he had been with Calie Jacobs for many years.  Sandy loved a good auction or garage sale and watching old western movies. In his younger days he made many pilgrimages to Sturgis motorcycle rally and continued to be an avid motorcyclist until late in life. He also enjoyed gambling, poker in particular.

Along with his family Sandy built an oilfield service company that brought him to Evanston in 1978. He retired and spent most of his time with friends and family.

Sandy is survived by his children David (Tonya) Dennis and Becci (Sonny) Fraughton both of Evanston; brother Chris (Robert) Dennis of Evanston and a sister Belinda Hiatt of Red Oak Oklahoma; 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; one niece and two nephews; as well as friends Kris Ramsey and Leo Hakloa among many others.

He is preceded in death by his Parents.

A service will take place at 1043 Front Street on Friday, August 6, 2021 6:00-8:00 PM.
