Ruth Crittenden

Ruth Allred Crittenden of Francis, Utah left this world, on Saturday, December 10th, one day short of her 71st birthday. Following complications from surgery, Ruth was surrounded by her family at the time of her passing.

Ruth is survived by her husband of 53 years Mike R. Crittenden, three sons Shane(Melanie), Wyatt(Shaley), Matt(Andrea), six grandchildren Kasen, Bridger, Josie, Brayden, Nora and Opal, her sisters, Peg Sabey and Elaine Wallace, her brother Doug Allred, her sister-in-law SueAnn(Brad Dickson) and many loved nieces and nephews.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents Rex & Ruby Allred and mother and father-in-law Ralph & Marvel Crittenden, her sister Beth Kinsey, sisters-in-law Dixie Crittenden and Karey Allred, and brother-in-laws, Harold Kinsey, Rex Sabey, Bill Crittenden and Bill Wallace.

Ruth was born in Heber City, UT and raised in Charleston, UT on Casperville Road.  She married her highschool sweetheart Mike Crittenden on November 6, 1969 and was a graduate from South Summit High School.

Ruth loved spending time with her family, camping, hunting for good deals, animals, and was an avid reader. Every Wednesday morning Ruth could be found with her sister Peggy searching the local Heber City thrift stores for treasures.  A lifelong animal lover she could always be counted on to adopt the local stray and loved riding her horse, Tuffy.  Ruth loved being close to her grandchildren and always had cookies waiting for them on the kitchen counter.  Those that knew Ruth loved her, and she loved them.  She watched over all of us - she will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

A viewing will be held Friday, December 16, 2022 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm and prior to the services on Saturday, December 17, 2022 from 9:30 - 10:45 am at the Francis LDS Church, 387 Frontier Ln Francis, Utah.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 17, 2022 at 11:00 am at the Francis LDS Church, 387 Frontier Ln Francis, Utah.  Interment to follow in the Francis City Cemetery.
