Patrick Eugen Wayland, resident of Lyman, Wyoming, passed peacefully in his sleep on April 13, 2024. He was a retired oilfield driller and beloved brother, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

Patrick was born on October 1, 1949, to Betty Lorenz and Leslie Wellington Wayland in the city of Rock Springs, Wyoming. He graduated high school in Denver, Colorado in 1968. He married the love of his life, Linda Lee Waugh on June 3, 1975, in Laramie, Wyoming. Pat and Linda had 3 kids. He adopted Julie Ann Benmellah and had a daughter, Jennifer Lee Heintz and a son, Scott Eugene Wayland.

Pat lived in Steamboat Springs, Colorado from 1969 to 1993 then moved to Las Vegas, Nevada where he resided until 2003. In 2003 he along with his wife and granddaughter relocated to Lyman, Wyoming where he lived out the rest of his life.

He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved spending time with his family. He also loved working on vehicles and spending time outside whenever possible. We will all miss him tremendously and love him until our last breath.

Patrick is survived by his wife of 48 years Linda, daughter Julie (Kahlil), daughter Jennifer (Mike), son Scott (Marijayne), brother Robert (Diann), brother Wes, sister Kathy   (Don), sister Jeanie (Gary), sister Sally (Mike), brother Howard; Grandchildren Allen (Nickle), Danielle (Zack), Elizabeth (Jeremy), Christopher (Bailey), Kylie (Ron), Mikey, Chance, Mathew, Soraya, Amin. 10 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents Betty and Leslie. Sister Lorie, sister Jeanie and brother Earl

Celebration for Pat’s life is August 1, 2024, at 11:00 am in Colorado at Steamboat Lake.
