Michael Zimmerman

November 30, 1962 — November 27, 2021

After a long, but courageous fight with cancer, Michael Alan Zimmerman “Mike” passed away peacefully, on November 27, 2021 with his family by his side.

Mike was born November 30, 1962 in Helena, MT to Dick and Mary Anne Zimmerman. His family lived in many different places throughout his childhood, which gave Mike the opportunity to create several friendships which he maintained throughout his life.  Mike later moved to Seattle, WA where he met and married the love of his life; Charlene and her 3 sons, Michael, Mitchell and Matthew, whom Mike raised as his own.

Mike spent 33 years in the Aerospace industry, working for Triumph as a NDT technician.  During his time at Triumph, Mike made several friends, many of which he stayed close to until he passed away.

Mike enjoyed traveling and spending time outdoors; hunting, fishing, kayaking and whatever else he could find to keep him busy.  Whether it was with family, friends, or even one of his many solo adventures.  Mike was also a great artist and spent much of his time painting.

He always enjoyed being around those he loved and cared about.

Known to his family as “Mickey”, he cherished the time he spent visiting his mother in Boise, ID, visiting his sisters at their homes, in WA and AZ, and the many camp trips him and his brother went on together. Mike also enjoyed the time he spent with his father, when Dick would come to Evanston.

Mike was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.

He is survived by his wife; Charlene, sons; Michael, Mitchell & Matthew, and granddaughter Aleia, Mother; Mary Anne, Father; Dick, Brother; Dave (Bekki), Sisters; Sherri (Michael) and Joyann (Michael) and many other cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.

At Mike’s request, there will not be public service; the family will hold a private gathering.
