Kaycee Kim Simpson, beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend passed away on July 25, 2023, at the age of 49. He was born on January 26, 1974, in Coalville, Utah to Kim and Lana May (Prescott) Simpson. On January 2, 2020, Kaycee was sealed to Jenny Sue Jorgensen in the Preston England Temple.
Kaycee married Jamie Blazzard and together they had Kylee May, they later divorced. He married Shannon Smith and together they had Chase Carl and Madison O. Shannon precedes him in death. They were all later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple.
Kaycee had many talents and found great joy as a stock contractor raising bucking bulls and as a former executive director for ABBI (American Bucking Bulls, Inc.). He had a natural ability for cooking and looked forward to making “his” famous sugar cookies for Christmas every year. Kaycee enjoyed hunting, ranching, motorcycling, and being “Pa” to his grandson, Kimball. Kaycee was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was currently serving as an ordinance worker in the Jordan River Temple and had a deep love and testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Kaycee is survived by his wife Jenny Simpson, children Kylee May Simpson, Chase Carl Simpson, and Madison O. Simpson, grandson Kimball Jackson Simpson, parents, Kim and Lana Simpson, sisters Shanae (Lynn) Thornton, Kresta (Scott) Robinson, and Ashley Page, and brother Dustin (Sara) Simpson, grandmother, Gwen Simpson Saxton, and nieces and nephews.
Kaycee is preceded in death by his grandparents Rena and Carl Prescott and grandfather, Rex Simpson.
Viewing will take place on Sunday, July 30, 2023, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Kamas LDS Church located at 100 W Center St, Kamas, UT 84036. Another viewing will be held the following day on July 31, 2023, from 9:30AM to 10:45 AM at the same location. Funeral services will follow the last viewing at 11:00 AM on July 31st at the Kamas LDS Church. Interment will be in the Francis Cemetery.
