Juanita C. Roybal, a beloved mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully on November 14, 2023, at the age of 84 in Evanston, Wyoming. Juanita was born on December 22, 1938, in Dixon, New Mexico, to Telesfor and Rosenda (Vaquez) Cordova. On July 27, 1979, she married Herman Roybal Sr. in Evanston, Wyoming.
Juanita was a loving mother to her children and grandchildren. She established her own housekeeping business in Evanston, tending to family homes and businesses for many years, even keeping her own home meticulously clean. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening, loved flowers, and spending time in the kitchen. She enjoyed cooking big meals for family and friends and having everyone over to eat, dance and just have a good time.
The simple pleasures in life brought Juanita joy. She loved collecting beautiful Fenton glass through the years, Knick knacks and jewelry. She loved beautiful fabrics and always enjoyed getting dressed up. Her larger-than-life smile and laugh will be greatly missed.
Juanita was preceded in death by her husband Herman Roybal Sr., parents Telesfor and Rosenda Cordova and brother, Benerito Cordova. She will be dearly missed by her five children; Herman (JoAnna) Roybal, Ronnie (Cassie) Torres, Kenneth (Priscilla Littles) Torres, Doris (John) Peterson and Joseph (Yvonne) Maestas; five grandchildren Virginia (Josh) Barlow, Derek Maestas, Tammy (Devin) Jackson, Makinzi Torres, Marlee Torres and four great-grandchildren; Leilani, Isadora, Zack, and Maverik.
A Rosary will take place at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church on Sunday, November 19, 2023, at 3:00 pm. The following day, November 20, 2023, a Mass will be held at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church at 10:30 am. Interment will be in the Evanston City Cemetery.
