Jerry Espy, Jr.

Jerry Don Espy Jr., 32, passed away at McKay Dee Hospital in Ogden, Utah, Aug. 10, 2011.

He was born on April 27, 1979, in Jonesboro, Ark., the son of Jerry Dale and Sandy Jean (Ditto) Espy. He married Nicole Dawn Cobban Aug. 2, 2003, in Evanston. He worked for Wise Services in the oilfields for several years.

Jerry loved to restore vehicles, and especially enjoyed spending time with his children and family. He loved to spend time in the outdoors fishing, hunting and especially four-wheeling. He also enjoyed spending time in the water.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Nicole, of Evanston; his children, a son, Dillon Wade Espy, and daughter, Bryleigh Faith, both of Evanston, his parents, Jerry and Sandy Espy; his in laws, Bill and Linda Cobban, of Evanston; his grandparents, Charles and Martha Bridgman, of Bradford, Ark.; and Donald and Marilyn Espy, of Brookland, Ark.; nieces Taylor and Kortney Myers; and nephews J.W. and Gavin Oliver. He is also survived by a sister, Sam (Dustin) Espy of Ft. Smith, Ark.; and sisters-in-law Dorinda (Josh) Oliver and Kendra (Pog) Myers, both of Evanston. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his Granny Booker; uncle Jim Espy; great-grandparents Thurman and Vianna Birmingham; and a grandfather, Ray Ditto, Jr.

Funeral services to celebrate his life will be conducted Saturday, Aug. 13, 2011, at 11 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, with Pastor Steve Aaron officiating. Interment will follow services at the Evanston Cemetery.

The family has requested that memorial donations may be made to the family in care of Trona Valley Credit Union in memory of Jerry Espy.
