Jerry Aimone

January 1, 1951 — May 3, 2012

Jerry Cox Aimone, 61, passed away on May 3, 2012 from injuries sustained in a ranching accident.
He was born on January 1, 1951 in Powell, Wyoming the son of Marion and Pearl Marie (Ropelato) Aimone.  He married Christine Gillins in Evanston, Wyoming on July 10, 2003.
He moved to Bridger Valley in 1960 and graduated Mountain View High School in 1969.  He attended Northwestern Community College in Powell, Wyoming where he roomed with Chris LeDeaux.  He later transferred to the University of Wyoming in Laramie and obtained his Bachelor Degree in Animal Science.  Jerry earned his master’s degree in Animal Nutrition from Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma.  He went to Chico, CA. and became employed at Chico State University to teach Animal Husbandry.
He worked for the U.S. Government  Department of Agriculture from 1977- 1988.  In 1988 he moves back to Bridger Valley to run the ranch.  Jerry loved his family and was a good father.  He enjoyed rodeo and music of all kinds.
He is survived by his loving wife Christine Gillins-Aimone and step-sons: Denis and Dustin Christiansen.
His brother, Casey Aimone of Lyman, Wy; and nephew Jerrid Aimone of Omaha, Nebraska
He is preceded in death by his parents Marion and Pearl and a brother Monty.
Funeral service will be held at the family ranch at 2947 HWY 411 in Mountain View, Wy at 1:00 p.m. Monday, May 7, 2011.  Friends may call at the Crandall Funeral Home in Evanston, Wy on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m.   Interment will follow in the Fort Bridger Cemetery.
