Gayle Robertson

January 30, 1929 — October 1, 2012

Gayle Gordon Robertson, age 83, passed away on October 1, 2012 at Intermountain Medical Center, Murray, Utah.  He was born on January 30, 1929
in Sumner, Nebraska, the son of Carl Christopher and Mabel Irene (Edwards) Robertson.  Gayle graduated from Gering High School, in Gering, Nebraska
in 1947.

Gayle had a love of music.  He was an accomplished clarinetist.  Gayle attended one year of college in Chicago then he returned to Gering, where he met
and married the love of his life, Jane Kasza.  He and Jane were married for 62 years.  They moved to Douglas, WY.; to manage the hospital in Douglas.  In
1959, they relocated to Kemmerer, WY.; where Gayle became the supervisor over the construction of a twenty bed hospital which was completed in 1963.
He became the administrator of Lincoln County Hospital and retired from the hospital in 1982.

Gayle was also a fifty year member of the Masonic Lodge, and the Eastern Star.

Throughout the years, his service to the community was unsurpassed.  Shortly after becoming the hospital administrator, he also built a clinic and recruited
doctors and nursing staff.  He served as the first EMT, overseeing the purchase and maintenance of the ambulance service.  After retiring in 1982 he supervised
the construction of South Lincoln Nursing Center.  He started a home health care offering delivery of oxygen and other home health products for many years.

Throughout many years in Kemmerer, Gayle also worked for the various funeral directors with the local funeral home.
He gave of himself and was a man of dignity
and reverence as he helped those grieving families he served.  It used to be said that he would see people coming into this world, and leaving it....as well as
everything in between.  Gayle had a deep compassion for other people's needs.  His sense of humor was endless as he seized every opportunity to play
practical jokes on his well deserving friends.

He is survived by his loving wife, Jane Robertson, of Kemmerer, WY.; his children, Colleen Paine, of Littleton, Colorado; Deanne (George) Hunt, of Jackson, Wyoming;
and Joelle (Fred) Britton, of Rock Springs, Wyoming.  He is also survived by his grandchildren; Amy Hester, Lindsay (Cory) Burr; Jacob (Aimee) Hunter; and Becki (James)
Peterson; and also his great grandchildren; Kolby Hester, Lexi Rae Hester, Braydon Burr, Charley Peterson, Shane Hunter, Sage Hunter, and Paiton Peterson.
