Eleanor Jane Henry Sims, 95 of Evanston, Wyoming passed away on August 20, 2011. She was born August 4, 1916 in Millbume, Wyoming, to William Maurice and Bessie Mae Hayward Henry.
Eleanor graduated from Mountain View High School and went on to continue her education at the University of Wyoming. She then taught elementary school in the Bridger Valley.
She married H. Glenn Sims in Evanston on August 4, 1938. She and Glenn lived in several Wyoming communities before settling in Mandan, North Dakota. They retired in 1970 and moved back to Evanston.
Eleanor loved being a wife, mother and homemaker. Her hobbies consisted of crocheting, knitting and reading.
Survivors include one sister, Doris Brown of Gresham, Oregon, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one daughter, Sandra Barger; one son, Patrick Glenn Sims; three sisters, Willia Craig, Elizabeth Martin and Myrtle Olsson; and one brother Maurice Henry.
At Eleanor's request no funeral services will be held. Interment will be at the Evanston City Cemetery.
