Elaine Elizabeth McLeod Davis 1938 ~ 2011 On June 24, 2011, our loving wife and mother passed away peacefully after a lengthy battle with complications due to diabetes.Elaine was born on July 2, 1938 in Salt Lake City, Utah to George and Dolores McLeod. She was the oldest of three children. She married her Sweetheart, Jack Davis, in the Salt Lake Temple on June 17, 1960. They had four children and 11 grandchildren. She had varied jobs. To name a few fabric store owner, executive assistant and High School counselor. She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving in almost every calling there is on both the ward and stake level. She enjoyed sewing, singing with Sweet Adelines, quilting, cooking and all things family. She was a wife and mother first of all. She devoted her life to serving others and will be missed by everyone who knew her. She is preceded in death by her parents and survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Jack, and her children: Susan Barrett of CO; Jeff Davis of NC; Bryan Davis of CT; and Jennifer Fernald of UT; and all her grandchildren and her brother William McLeod and sister Linda Childs. Funeral Services will be held at the Kamas 2nd Ward Wednesday, June 29th at noon. Friends may call at the church on Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 and on Wed. one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Diabetes Association .
