Edith Starke

January 18, 1915 — January 27, 2012

Edith L. Starke, passed away at Rocky Mountain Care in Evanston, WY. on January 27, 2012, at the age of 97.  She was born on January 18, 1915 in Lehi, Utah
the daughter of Melvin and Reba (Jones) Smuin.

She married Clarence Wesley Starke on December 30, 1941 in Sedalia, Missouri.  Her husband preceded her in death on November 2, 2003.

Edith was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and was also a member of the Evanston Senior Center.  She loved writing, and authored a book entitled

Hello My Friend.  She also enjoyed painting, reading, music, singing, and nature and flowers and being in the great outdoors.

She is survived by her two sons, Richard and Carolyn Starke, of Bountiful, Utah; and Robert and Arthella Starke, of Tualatin, Oregon.  She is also survived by nine grandchildren,
and sixteen great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Maxine Starke Lowham, and a brother, Hershel Smuin.

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at 12:00 Noon at Crandall Funeral Home in Evanston, WY.  Visitation will be held one half hour prior to
services.  Interment will follow services at the Evanston Cemetery.
