Doris Hughes

August 22, 1936 — May 21, 2012

Doris Eileen McCants Hughes, age 75, passed away at her home in Evanston, WY on Monday, May 21, 2012.  She was born on August 22, 1936 in South Gate, California to Charles and Dorothy McCants.
Doris had a deep respect and love for the earth and spent many hours gardening, and growing flowers.  She found great satisfaction in maintaining a beautiful yard.  Doris enjoyed spending time with friends and going to activities at the Uinta County Seniors Center.  Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family.
Doris is survived by her husband Kenneth Hughes, daughter and best friend; Debbie (Kenn Van Weerd) Ciriello, her other daughters; Michele Kingsley, and Cyndi (Dale) Thompson.  She is also survived by her grandchildren; Kortney Thompson, Anthony Kingsley, and William “Buddy” Charles; her great grandchildren; Alexis, Anabel, Abry, and Anthony Kingsley.  Also surviving is her step daughter Kari (Jay) Jones, her brother, Jim McCants, and her Brother and Sister in law, Bill and Linda Slavik, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Dorothy McCants, and her mother and father in law, Russell and Ethel Kingsley.
She was the most kind and loving lady, and will be dearly missed.
At her request, cremation has taken place under the direction of Crandall Funeral Home, and no services are scheduled.
