Marion/Kamas, UT - Donald Watson Jepsen, a man of faith, integrity, and courage, returned to his Heavenly Father Thursday, August 9, 2012, after fighting a courageous battle with Parkinson's Disease. Don was born on October 11, 1925 to Hyrum Wilford Jepsen and Agnes Watson Jepsen in Glencoe, Idaho. Later with his family, Don moved to Mink Creek, ID, where he was raised, alongside his 4 brothers and 5 sisters, learning how to work hard on the family farm. He served as a Civil Engineer in the U.S. Army, during WWII, assisting in reconstruction efforts, in Japan, as a heavy machine operator. He received an honorable discharge, along with various medals for his service. Don was sealed to Miriam Weller Jepsen, on May 29, 1958, in the Salt Lake Temple for time and all eternity. They began and raised their family in Ogden, Farr West, and eventually on to Marion, Utah, where they remained for the rest of their lives. Don's professional life included, working for his family saw mill business, Hi-Land Dairy as a machine operator, school bus driver for the special needs, custodian for the LDS Church, and a dedicated farmer to both his family and wife's family farms. Donald has always been an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He has truly been blessed by his activity in the church, serving in various callings. More recently he served with his wife Miriam, as proselyting missionaries, in Billings, MT, and Albuquerque, NM, as well as for the St. George, and Salt Lake Temple missions. Don gave much of his life in service and as a result, is loved and respected by many.
Donald is survived by his wife of 54 years, Miriam Weller Jepsen; six children, Robert (Jenae) Jepsen, Mendon, UT, Paul (Kim) Jepsen, Lehi, UT, Dan (America) Jepsen, Provo, UT, Donald Jepsen, Jr., Salt Lake City, UT, Kathy (Peter) Harnett, Draper, UT, Marilyn (Kelly) Scott, Draper, UT. 14 Grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; one brother, Hyrum "Bud" (KayDean) Jepsen; and two sisters, Phyllis Steneck and Vera Adams. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Barbara Jean Jepsen; parents; three sisters, Madoline Jepsen and Ruth Jensen and Arlene Warburton; three brothers, James, Vern and Herman.

Funeral Services for Don, will be held Saturday, Aug. 18, 2012, noon, at the Kamas Utah LDS Stake Center. A viewing will be held Friday, Aug. 17, from 6-8 p.m. and Saturday 10:30-11:45 am, Aug. 18, at the Kamas Utah LDS Stake Center, 3038 N State Road 32 (Marion, Ut). Interment will be at the Marion Cemetery.
