Evanston

Dennis Hubbard Morgan, aged 77, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, friend, and neighbor, passed away peacefully on June 16th, 2023 with his wife by his side.

He was born on May 2nd, 1946 to Hubbard Clarence Morgan and Clara Alice Archebala in Winnemucca, Nevada. Dennis graduated from Denver City High School and then attended Southern Colorado State College. Dennis met his match, Mary Sue Cabaniss, in January of 1970 in Jackson, Alabama. They were married two months later on March 27, 1970. Together they had two boys, Scot Alan Morgan and Mark Vincent Morgan. Dennis retired in 1996 after 35 years of working in the oil fields.

Dennis loved the outdoors! He made memories traveling, fishing, hunting, camping, and riding 4 wheelers with friends and family. He had an amazing love and talent for searching the rugged landscapes for arrowheads  and amassed quite a collection throughout his life. During the cold and snowy Wyoming winters, Dennis enjoyed traveling with his wife to warm and sunny Arizona where they visited their son, Mark, and many friends, especially Mike and Carletta Noble. Dennis also enjoyed the precious moments he spent with his only grandchild, Baylee.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Sue; son Mark (Sherrie) Morgan; granddaughter, Baylee (Cameron) Long; great grandchildren, Reiken, Rosalie, and Raylan Long; brother Ronald (Robin) Morgan; and close friends, Mike & Carletta Noble. Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Clara & Hubbard; and son, Scot Alan Morgan.

Dennis will be cremated. At the family’s request, there will be no funeral or memorial service. Instead, we ask that friends and loved ones spend time outdoors when they are able. Dennis loved being outside.
