Ben Taylor

July 28, 1973 — July 1, 2024

Benjamin James Taylor, 50 of Milburne Wyoming, died peacefully at home July 1,2024.

He was born July 28, 1973 to Eddie L. Taylor and Ruth Ann Bates Taylor in Evanston, Wyoming. He was the second of three children. His siblings are Janice and Valerie.

He married Janiece Jensen and to that union were born Casey James, Michelle Lee, and Eddie Marvin. They were later divorced.

He then married Miranda Bailey and assumed fatherhood of her young son Leonard. To that union was born Nathan Benjamin. They were later divorced but remained close friends.

Ben had a wide range of interest and talents which allowed him to easily make friends and connections with people from all walks of life. His art of building life long friendships, and distinct red hair made him easy to remember.

Ben considered many of those friends as brothers, and for them he would go to great lengths to support them by showing up to fix, remodel, and work on any project anytime they needed him.

He loved deeply. Not only his friends and family, but also his personal passions and hobbies, He was a music man. He was an exceptional guitar player and drummer. His deepest passion was his love of mechanics. Ben was often working on the art of the perfectly tuned rumble of a vintage or classic car. He had a special love for his 1965 Chevrolet Biscayne and relished in fine tuning her roaring engine. His greatest joy however was passing those passions to his sons and watching them flourish.

Ben loved his Wyoming home; the beautiful Uinta Mountains with her lakes and rivers where he hunted and fished and worked throughout his life.

He is survived by his children Casey NE, Michelle (Brandon) Dorrill of Columbus GA, Eddie NE Leonard (Sierra) Schleuning of Rapid City, SD, Nathan (Lexi Balser) Taylor of Mountain View, WY, and two grandchildren Maddox and Everleigh. His sisters Janice (Mike) McPherson of Hardin, MT, Valerie Taylor of Healy, AK, His father Eddie Taylor of Milburne, many nieces, nephews, and friends and family that he dearly loved.

Ben had the heart and courage of a lion, the passions of an artist, the mind of a master craftsman, and the love of a giant.
