Our dearly beloved Lloyd passed away on Saturday July, 23,2022 at Saint Marks
Memorial Hospital, surrounded by loved ones.
Lloyd was born in Woodruff, Utah to his father Jesse James Reed and mother Georgia Galliher Reed, who he is now united with.
Lloyd enlisted in the Army at a young age and spent the majority of his time there stationed in South Carolina.
After his time in the military he returned to Woodruff and found happiness in his
hometown where he met the love of his life and wife of more than sixty years, Dora D. Reed,
They were married on September 30, 1959 in Randolph, Utah.
They loved and cherished one another dearly and always made it a point to tell one another, throughout the decades they spent as best friends.Their love is an inspiration as to what a relationship should be.
Together they raised five children of their own, and played a major role in the lives of their grandchildren, throughout their entire lives.
Lloyd was an inspiration to his entire family. A man of few words, who was known for
saying only what he meant. He had a stern, yet gentle tone that made you listen up when he
said something. He enjoyed many different activities such as hunting, fishing, shooting his guns
and loading his own bullets, and taking his prize possession car to car shows, or just cruising
around. More than anything Lloyd loved being with his wife and the family that they created from
their love.
Lloyd leaves behind his loving wife Dora D. Reed, His brother Jay Reed, His children
Lloyd Reed Junior, Penny Deanda, William Reed, and Robin Reed. His twelve(12)
grandchildren, fifteen(15) great grandchildren, and six(6) great-great grandchildren. Whom will
all miss him dearly,
Lloyd is preceded in death by his parents Jesse James Reed and Georgia Ghalliher
Reed. By his sisters Arlean Reed and Florence Reed, His son Paul Reed, and grandson Jesse
James. Whom are all now reunited.
We will be honoring Lloyds life with a small memorial for the family members.
Our hearts ache as we say farewell to a truly inspirational, caring, and dedicated man. A true
hero to his family members, who all looked up to him for his wisdom and guidance. As Papa
Lloyd would say “Loves You Better!”
