My beautiful little sister Lois Mae Nicholls passed away May 16, 2017.  She touched the heart of everyone who knew her.  Lois was born December 2, 1947 to Corless Wayne and Flora Rees Nicholls, the last of four children.
She was raised in Randolph, Utah.  Lois’s father died when she was only seven years old.  When her mom passed years later her brother Rees Corless Nicholls “Tubb”, her sisters Barbara Amundson and Jackie Bonham were honored with the privilege of helping Lois through this thing called life.  Lois lived with Tubb for approximately one year when she had the opportunity to move into Wide Horizons in Ogden, Utah when for the first time in her life she had her own friends, she was able to get a job and Wide Horizons had Saturday night dances, she could dance with her friends, be herself and have fun.  Two years into this her sister Barbara came from Boise, ID to take Lois for a two week visit that turned into two years when Barbara unexpectedly passed.  Lois then moved back to Evanston with Tubb where he was able to get her in Rocky Mountain Care center in Evanston.  While there Lois had the opportunity of traveling to Hawaii, England, Bahamas and Canada.  When Tubb passed unexpectedly in March of 2001, Lois’s sister Jackie then became her guardian at which time Lois chose to move into Bridges which is now LSR, also in Evanston, where she had excellent care.  Lois was able to get a job at JB’s in Evanston where Mona, an employee of JB’s, took her under her wing, Lois loved Mona.  Lois was proud to have a job.  Mona and other employees helped and encouraged her, thank you so much for your support and love for Lois.  The whole city of Evanston has been very kind to Lois.  Thanks to everyone who took time to befriend her.  I would like to give a special thanks to Ryan Pantel manager at LSR, Connie Barton, Sharon Wastaff, Ruth Dugan, LaNail Pritch and Sheralee Dunbar the staff at LSR for all they have done for Lois through the years and especially to help Lois through these past few months.  I want to thank the nurse from Best Home Health, Marie for all she has done.  You have gone above and beyond expectation to do everything possible for Lois.
Lois is survived by her sister Jackie (Steve) Bonham, many nieces and nephews, one especially Kellie and her husband Brian Welling who made sure Lois had a special made cake for her birthday many years and went to get her for Sunday dinner until Lois was in a wheel chair and unable to go, also, many cousins.
A viewing will be held at Crandall Funeral Home on Friday, May 19, 2017 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, with a one hour viewing prior to the service.  A church service will be held at the Randolph LDS Church on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at 11:00 am.  A graveside service will follow at the Randolph City Cemetery.
