Richard Morrison AKA Rick, passed away on August 1, 2017 at 12:20 a.m. at the Evanston Regional Hospital.

He was surrounded by his family at the time of death. Rick lived a life full of love and laughter; he had a heart of gold and cared for others deeply. Rick was always the life of the party, from his big beautiful smile to his beautiful blue eyes. Rick was a very simple man. He loved his football and his NASCAR. Denver Broncos was his team and Tony Stewart was his driver. Rick loved his good old rock and roll as he would say, “let the good times roll!” He had a deep love for his dog Junior and he loved watching NASCAR with his dad. Rick always enjoyed family gatherings and summertime barbecues. Rick was affiliated in his childhood years with the Acrerats based out of Whittier California where he met his best friend David Estrada, “his brother from another mother” they would say.

Rick was born March 19th 1960 in Portland Oregon. His surviving family is his ex-wife/best friend Lynn Guthrie, Allen Texas.  Children: Reanna McCasky Hemet, Ca. Tara Wisenbaker Evanston, Wy. Breanna May Allen, Tx. Steven Silvey Fullerton, Ca. and Brandon May Denver, Co. Rick is a proud grandpa of 13 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild (who was born on the day Rick passed away) Sisters: Deborah Morrison Buena Park, Ca. Linda Urbania Central Point, Or. Nephews and nieces: Michael Morrison Buena Park, Ca. Johnny Hackman, Joshua Morrison and Monique Olson. Best friends: David Estrada, Ardy Rose, Donny Guthrie, Scott May and Jeremy Wisenbaker.

Rick will truly be missed but never forgotten. We have a comfort as his family knowing he is no longer suffering from his illnesses. He is flying high in the sky like a free bird. Until we see you again!

Services will be held Monday August 7, 2017 at 5 p.m. at the Evanston Church of the Nazarene conducted by Pastor Timothy McDowell. Please feel free to join family and friends for the celebration of life for Richard Morrison.

I offer my heartfelt condolences to Lynn and the Morrison family and friends of Rick. When death robs us of someone we love very much, it causes much sadness and grief. Our loving heavenly Father, Jehovah God (Psalm 83:18) gives us hope at Revelations 21: 4 says: "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore." Isaiah 33:24 guarantees us: "And no resident will say "I am sick," ever again. May these promises from Jehovah God bring you comfort. Psalm 34:18
None of us are guaranteed tomorrow, but we are all guaranteed a resurrection. (John 5:28, John 6:40, John 11:23-25, Acts 24:15) Again, the family is in my prayers and I offer my heartfelt condolences. Feel free to contact me at my email address: myranj@centurytel.net
